Practical details for artists and traders working the show — setup times, booth details, what to bring and how the weekend runs.
What time can I set up my booth?
Booth setup is available on the Friday evening before the show, typically from 6pm–10:30pm. This gives you time to get in, unload and dress your space. If you can’t make that window, you can also Set up on Saturday Morning from 7am – 9am. If you are driving you will need to book a timeslot.
Will there be entertainment during the event?
Yes – the show runs with entertainment all weekend. Expect live competitions, graffiti, body painting, music, fire performers and more.
There’s also a bar and street food options on site so you and your clients can grab food and drinks without leaving the venue.
What size are the booths?
What should I bring to the event?
Bring everything you need to work safely and comfortably. Typical essentials include:
- Massage bed (if you use one)
- Extension leads and lighting
- Stencil equipment and inks
- Decor & signage for your booth
- Table covering for the trestle table
A limited number of stencil machines may be available on site, but we recommend bringing your own equipment wherever possible.
What’s included with my booth?
A standard booth typically includes:
- Two chairs
- One 6x2 ft trestle table
- Exam desk / working surface
- Power socket (with a power limit suitable for machines and lighting)
- Clinical waste bag and sharps bin
Is there an after party?
What time do the competitions start?
Competition schedules can vary by year, but they typically begin early evening on Saturday and slightly earlier on Sunday.
Artists who aren’t entering can usually continue tattooing into the evening on both days. Exact timings will be confirmed in the run-up to the event.
Is there parking at the event?
There are a limited number of parking spaces at the venue, available on a first-come, first-served basis each day.
Vehicles can’t usually stay overnight, so we recommend parking at your hotel or in a nearby car park and walking over if you’re staying in the area.

What are the nearest stops to New Bingley Hall?
New Bingley Hall is close to several local stops. The Jewellery Quarter and Hockley Circus areas are both only a few minutes’ walk away, with additional stops a short distance further.
Which bus routes serve the venue?
Is there a nearby train or tram station?
The Jewellery Quarter area is served by local rail and tram links, with West Midlands Railway services connecting into central Birmingham and beyond.
From there, it’s only a short walk or quick bus/taxi ride to the venue.
Any tips for planning my journey?
We recommend checking public transport apps or journey planners on the day you’re travelling, as times and routes can change.
If you’re driving, give yourself extra time for city traffic and parking, especially during busy periods and peak convention hours.
